Sir Robert Black College of Education
The Sir Robert Black College of Education was established in 1960 as the Third Training College. The College was under Grantham College of Education which provided a one-year program in its early days. The College initially shared premises with the Lo Fu Ngam Government Primary School. A year later, the College was detached from Grantham College of Education and renamed as Sir Robert Black Training College, which named after the then Governor, Sir Robert Black. The school moved into a standardized-designed campus in Hok Yuen Street, Hung Hom in 1962. The standard of the learning environment and facilities such as laboratories were significantly improved when the College moved to a new campus at Piper’s Hill in 1974. It was eventually re-titled as the Sir Robert black College of Education in 1967.
