He Luzhi (1891-1968), was from Huayang, Sichuan Province. He went to University of Paris to study Western history and once served as a journalist at Agence France-Press. He established the Chinese Youth Party in Paris in 1924. Upon his return to China, he taught at the history department of Chengdu University and was the head of history department at Sichuan University. In 1950, he started the Freedom Press in Hong Kong and later served as the policy consultant to the President’s office of the Taiwanese government.
